OVERVIEW
Our main objective is to ensure that the social security schemes are able to pay benefits, provide services and generate income that helps to finance such benefits and services.
The investments team which is guided by the investments policy, invests such funds in money market instruments i.e. Treasury Bills and quality Banker’s Acceptances for the financing of short term liabilities, while the medium to long term investments which are listed and unlisted shares, bonds, special projects and properties cater for long term liabilities.

The wealth of expertise we have provides sound technical knowledge in balancing the investments matrix, which entails maximising returns, maintaining liquidity and preserving capital at optimal or acceptable risk in accordance with our investments guidelines. Such an investments framework nourishes the authority’s position in promoting social and economic development of the nation.

  • To grow social security funds and obtain market related returns
  • To make significant contributions to economic growth of the country
  • To provide affordable housing for Zimbabwean citizens
  • To increase lettable space by building and/or acquiring new properties
