The NSSA Strategy Review and 2026 Annual Planning Workshop is currently taking place in Gweru. The strategic planning session will run from the 17th to the 20th of November. In his opening remarks, the NSSA Board Chairman, Christopher Dube, called the workshop a big milestone in the transformation journey of the Authority.

He reiterated that the workshop plays a vital role in the performance evaluation of the period 2021-2025 for NSSA, the Integrated Results-Based Management (IRBM) framework, and helps align NSSA’s vision with national goals like NDS1, NDS2, and Vision 2030. He emphasised the Authority’s core mandate of providing pensioners dignity in retirement and the importance of ensuring safety at the workplace. The goals of the workshop are to draw lessons from past challenges, understand stakeholder expectations, and come up with a good 2026-2030 Strategic Plan and the 2026 Annual Performance Plan. The Chairman encouraged the NSSA team to continue working together to ensure the continued success of the Authority.

In his remarks, the NSSA General Manager, Dr Charles Shava, highlighted NSSA’s strengths, such as a solid policy framework, broad geographical reach, and reliable benefit payments and opportunities, including technological advancements, regional partnerships, and data sharing with government departments.
